A SUMMER DAY IN CENTRAL PARK2000 My first summer back in New York City. Zeek and I explore the park. It's a jungle in there, a riot of free performance. Screened in the Dallas Video Festival. |
Media-Related
Democracy Now!: I worked on this from mid-October, 2001, to June 2007. A much-needed source of alternative news and analysis. Once just a radio show, now also televised.
500 Dunam on the Moon: a documentary I helped edit. A Palestinian family struggles to keep their current homes in Israel, just 2 kilometers from their ancestral village. The film juxtaposes their lives and thoughts with those of the Israelis living down the road in what is now a well known artist colony.
Flicker Home Page: info about alternative cinema.
Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers (AIVF): the only national service organization I knew of especially for media makers working independently. Invaluable for its directories and the monthly magazine The Independent. Their New York library was a great resource. Rest in peace.
Yale Style Manual for Web Design: just what you'd think. Useful resource.
